Two weeks to go!

We have been so busy with our families, work, working out, tanning, unpacking the studio, the list goes on to eternity. Such is the life of single mothers. Last night it dawned on us that we leave on the road trip in two weeks. Holy Cow!!! There is a lot to plan but we work well under pressure. Pinkie is at her best in the pressure cooker. I need more planning. Guess I am a little high maintenance. Not Pinkie, she can throw anything into a suitcase and takes off. I love to plan what I am wearing, including jewelry, where we are staying, how long it will take us to arrive and where we will stop for the much needed breaks. Pinkie could care less so she graciously lets me control the trips. She is the most free spirit I have ever met. I am free spirited to, I just want the things I need to be with me.
There are three important things about this trip.
1. Have Fun - we so need this.
2. Reconnect with Family - Pinkie needs that.
3. Redirect our Lives - We will, in the next year, be SUCCESSFUL!!!
Our art is so different. Maybe its because we draw from our experiences and put that energy into our work. Our work has a spirit of its own but still apart of us. Kind of like our kids. No, just like our kids. We nurture, love and protect our creations. Art for us is another form of birth. Each piece so different but with a common thread. OMG I'm so excited. When we return home with all new treasures to re-purpose our new lives will begin.

New Beginings

Life just keeps changing. I guess that is so we can keep learning. Its a good thing once you accept this fact. My life is so very different than anything I could have imagined. I never thought I would live in such a beautiful place. All my life I have lived in Florida but not until now have I lived on the water. Everyday when I return home its as if I am going on vacation. My best friend has gone through alot of changes to. I'm so glad we have each other to depend on. She is the dearest friend in the world. We always seem to get into some crazy, fun situations. You know the ones that you will laugh about for the rest of your lives. Others may not understand our humor but we really don't care. We want just to be ourselves and have peace in our lives. So that is why we are going into business together. Now you know we are crazy, right? Maybe but we are great artists and random chicks! We see the beauty in the common and the bizarre. We are kindred spirits. What better way to start on our adventure in the art world than a road trip. Look out world because Geanie and Debbi, AKA, Pinkie and the Brain are changing their lives for success. I will post our story as it unfolds which I am certain will include creating, cussing, prayer and some form of alcohol. The adventure begins ..........
